Chua and Tan crowned FAME prom king and queen

KUCHING: Chua Fei and Sabrina Tan were crowned FAME International College’s (FAME) prom king and queen respectively on Sunday during the college’s Prom Night held at a hotel here.

Both students received their awards and prizes from FAME chief executive officer (CEO) David Chew as they expressed their gratitude for being selected.

Chua said he had nothing else to say apart from being happy while Tan said she was just grateful for being selected.

Before presenting the prizes to the winners, Chew commented that no matter who gets selected as prom king or queen, everyone present is the best and they should believe that they are at all times.

“We should always have confidence in ourselves. Everyone is special in their own way and we should always believe that we are too,” he added.

There was also a contest to select the best model dressed in their Sunday best on that night.

Ten students (five men and five women) took part in the contest and a winner was chosen in each of the gender categories.

Around 200 people attended Prom Night, which is a biannual event organised by the college.

Among those who attended the event were the college’s students, former students, lecturers and other officials.

A number of performances were also held that night to entertain the audience.
