FAME Students Gain Leadership and Governance Insights During Visit to Dewan Undangan Negeri Sarawak
Students from FAME International College recently had the valuable opportunity to visit the Dewan Undangan Negeri Sarawak and meet the Deputy Premier of Sarawak, YB Datuk Amar Professor Dr Sim Kui Hian, as part of an educational and leadership exposure experience.
The visit provided students with meaningful insights into the role of elected representatives in shaping policies, supporting communities, and driving the continuous development of Sarawak. Students were able to gain a deeper understanding of leadership responsibilities, governance, and the importance of public service in building a better future for the people of Sarawak.
During the session, YB Datuk Amar Professor Dr Sim Kui Hian shared inspiring perspectives on Sarawak’s development journey, current progress initiatives, and the importance of empowering younger generations through education and opportunities.
Students also had the opportunity to engage in networking and discussions that allowed them to learn more about the ongoing developments taking place across the state and how leadership decisions contribute to long-term growth and social progress.
Another key highlight of the visit was the insightful sharing by the Political Secretary, who explained the symbolism and significance behind the architecture and identity of the Dewan Undangan Negeri Sarawak. Students were also introduced to the educational support, scholarships, and opportunities provided by Yayasan Sarawak for future generations.
The visit served as an inspiring experience for students to broaden their perspectives on leadership, governance, and the future development of Sarawak.
