I am from Pontianak (Indonesia), and this year marks my 13th year in Kuching. I graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in International Business Management (BIBM) from FAME International College. I completed my SPM at Sunny Hill Secondary School in Kuching.

Currently, I am employed at LEPAPA Supermarket Group in a management position. Studying at FAME International College has been a very eye-opening experience, as all the lecturers are very hands-on with the students. Of course, I really want to thank all my coursemates as well for their support during the past degree years. Lastly, to my juniors, here’s a quote by Walt Disney: “All our dreams can come true if we have the courage to pursue them.” I wish everyone the best.

I spent about six years at FAME International College, and my two younger sisters are currently studying both Diploma and Degree courses with FAME International College. During these six years, I also served as a student council member and advisor for two years. I participated in a lot of activities at FAME International College, such as the Christmas Party, Halloween Dinner, and FAME Fair. Currently, I am working as a Student Services Officer in the Marketing Department of FAME International College. The good environment and kind lecturers are the reasons that motivate me to work here. Now, I would like to say to all the lecturers, “Thank you for being such shining stars on our way of growing up.” I also want to say to all graduates, “Chase your dreams. Never stop trying, and never stop learning.”

My time at FAME International College has been a rewarding journey. As an accounting and finance student, I was initially nervous, but the passion and guidance of my lecturers helped me tackle complex topics like financial analysis and tax regulations. Small class sizes made learning interactive and engaging.

A highlight during my college days was my role as a key member of the Leo Club, where I learned the value of teamwork and communication while organizing activities. Looking back, FAME was not just about academics but also personal growth, resilience, and critical thinking. I am proud to be part of this transformative experience.

While studying at FAME International College, I secured a part-time job through the college’s bulletin board. The careers services team helped refine my CV and prepare for the interview, leading to a role at an established auditing firm. This job has been invaluable for applying classroom theories in practice.

Thanks to FAME International College’s Digital Business programme, I now work in a media company where I’ve learned how digital networks operate and attract traffic. This knowledge, gained before graduation, has greatly enhanced my industry understanding and helped me effectively manage platforms for companies. I’m grateful for this invaluable learning experience.

Being part of the Student Council at FAME has been a valuable experience. It allowed me to step out of my comfort zone, gain skills in organizing events, and help fellow students. I’ve learned how to manage a team, communicate effectively, and turn ideas into reality.

The Student Council gives students the chance to showcase their abilities while providing a fun and meaningful college life. Studying at FAME has been great—everyone is friendly, and the college equips students with the knowledge and resources needed for the business world. The courses cover everything, not just marketing or administration.

FAME International College shaped me into the entrepreneur I am today. Arriving in Malaysia at 18, FAME’s supportive faculty and practical, real-world teaching made adapting easy and gave me the confidence to start my own business.

The Diploma in Entrepreneurship gave me hands-on experience, from case studies to my Final Year Project — which I’ve now turned into a real venture.
